Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and ventilation equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Conduct field service operations on various mechanical systems such as plumbing fixtures, appliances, and equipment repair tasks across multiple properties. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication or component replacement. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance for compliance and future reference. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities; operate a driver vehicle safely when transporting parts or equipment. Collaborate with property managers and other technicians to coordinate maintenance schedules and respond promptly to emergency service requests. Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on HVAC/R systems; construction background is highly valued. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and interpret HVAC design plans accurately. Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and appliance repair is preferred. Familiarity with plumbing systems, boiler operation, welding techniques, and property maintenance practices. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices confidently. Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills; previous mechanic experience is advantageous. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred. Certification or training in HVAC/R systems; relevant licenses or certifications are a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn. $25.68 - $30.93 per hour
