Job Description

Primary Job Function:
The Install Helper assists Lead Installers in the installation, replacement, and startup of residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position is ideal for individuals seeking to build a career in the HVAC trade by gaining hands-on experience in the field while learning industry best practices, safety procedures, and installation techniques. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist Lead Installers with the installation of HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and related components. Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites. Prepare work areas and maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Assist with ductwork installation, equipment placement, and system startup procedures. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices safely and effectively. Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Communicate professionally with customers and team members. Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition. Participate in training programs and ongoing skill development. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening (if applicable). Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Previous construction, mechanical, or HVAC experience. Enrollment in or completion of an HVAC trade school program. EPA certification (or willingness to obtain). Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly. Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and confined spaces. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in various weather conditions for extended periods. Ability to safely operate tools and equipment. Skills and Competencies Mechanical aptitude. Attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills. Positive attitude and customer-focused mindset. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to workplace safety.
Pay:
$18.00 - $26.00 per hour
