  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning (HVAC/R) Installer to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, ventilation equipment, and related mechanical components. Your expertise will ensure that commercial and residential properties operate efficiently and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize your technical skills, and contribute to creating comfortable indoor environments for our clients. Duties Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment according to schematics and design specifications. Conduct system diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments. Read and interpret technical schematics, HVAC design plans, and mechanical drawings to ensure accurate installation and maintenance procedures. Use welding techniques and plumbing skills to connect piping systems, refrigerant lines, and mechanical components securely. Operate a variety of field service tools and equipment while adhering to safety protocols; maintain detailed service records for all installations and repairs. Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems or appliances as needed; support property managers with ongoing system upkeep. Drive company vehicles safely while transporting tools, parts, or equipment to job sites; ensure compliance with all transportation regulations. Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving HVAC/R design modifications or upgrades; participate in troubleshooting efforts during service calls. Skills Strong knowledge of construction principles related to HVAC system installation and repair processes. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents accurately. Mechanical aptitude combined with experience in plumbing, welding, boiler operation, or appliance repair. Familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration units; understanding of refrigerants and safety procedures. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing; capable of equipment repair and troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge of field service operations including maintenance routines and emergency repairs. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transporting materials or equipment. Experience working with HVAC design concepts; understanding of ductwork layout, airflow dynamics, and system optimization. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards.
