In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help create comfortable indoor environments for our homeowners. Duties Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, and calibration to prevent future issues. Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics and mechanical system failures utilizing tools like ohmmeters and multimeters. Install new HVAC equipment according to design specifications, including ductwork, piping, electrical wiring, and refrigerant lines. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents for accurate system installation or repair. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all work performed for accountability and future reference. Skills Construction experience with knowledge of building codes and safety standards. Proven service technician experience with a strong background in HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents accurately. Mechanical knowledge of complex systems including boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, and building automation systems. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, plumbing repairs, welding techniques, and equipment repair. Familiarity with HVAC/R field service procedures along with appliance repair skills. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; experience working with ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Experience with property maintenance tasks related to air conditioning units and mechanical systems.
