In this energetic role, you will be the driving force behind installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems that keep buildings comfortable and energy-efficient. Your mechanical expertise and field service experience will shine as you work on a variety of projects, from residential to commercial properties. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in HVAC design, refrigeration, plumbing, and equipment repair while making a tangible impact on clients' comfort and safety. Duties Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, ventilation systems, and ammonia refrigeration equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance. Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to accurately assemble and install equipment. Perform service calls for system repairs involving refrigeration, appliance repair, plumbing, welding, and mechanical components. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical or mechanical issues. Ensure all installations comply with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system specifications for each project. Qualifications Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC installation or service technician roles. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in refrigeration, plumbing, welding, boiler operation, or appliance repair. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and technical blueprints. Field service experience working on air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, or HVAC/R equipment. Ability to operate diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and perform equipment repair efficiently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a driver is preferred. Knowledge of electrical systems related to HVAC including wiring and circuit troubleshooting. Additional skills such as welding, boiler maintenance, or mechanic experience are highly desirable.
