Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our team to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and/or industrial clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, a customer-first attitude, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires mechanical knowledge and experience in field service, ensuring that all HVAC systems operate efficiently and effectively. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service to our clients. Duties Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems in residential and commercial properties. Diagnose issues with heating and cooling systems, including refrigeration units. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Operate tools and equipment safely while adhering to industry standards. Weld components as necessary for repairs or installations. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address HVAC-related concerns. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed. Drive company vehicles to job sites while ensuring safety regulations are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
Install new HVAC systems including ductwork, wiring, and controls. Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems. Diagnose and repair HVAC system problems in a timely manner. Test systems for proper functioning and compliance with local codes. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used. Communicate with clients to explain findings and recommend solutions. Follow safety procedures and maintain clean work areas. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices. Experience Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role in the field service industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in ammonia refrigeration systems preferred. Familiarity with boiler systems is a plus. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on-site. Valid driver's license required for van driving responsibilities. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; HVAC trade school certification preferred. [1-5+] years of HVAC experience (depending on seniority level). EPA certification (Type I, II, or Universal) required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights. Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with smart thermostats and modern HVAC tech. Familiarity with both residential and commercial systems. NATE certification a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.Benefits:
