Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC maintenance and service technician for commercial and residential equipment. This position involves performing maintenance, repairs, and some installations of HVAC equipment throughout Lancaster and the surrounding counties. This position will mainly be a maintenance position, but general service calls will be assigned as needed, based on the individual's skill level. Applicant must be willing to serve on an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends. Applicant must have good communications skills, be able to work both in a team environment and individually. We are looking for someone who has the drive and desire to learn and grow to provide the best possible service for our customers.Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with Dispatch and management team to ensure work orders are accurately received and attended to in a timely manner based upon established goals and service standards.
- Performs preventive maintenance on commercial and residential heating and air conditioning equipment. Equipment includes roof top units, split systems, boilers, geothermal, unit heaters, make up air units, and pumps.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions of heating/air conditioning systems and/or components in commercial and residential HVAC units. Equipment includes roof top units, split systems, boilers, geothermal, unit heaters, make up air units, and pumps.
- Manage repair costs while minimizing inefficiencies.
- Transports various items (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site.
- Must be able to work independently and have good customer communication skills.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience in residential/commercial HVAC services
- HS diploma/GED
- EPA 608 certification
- Valid driver's license
- Able to pass drug-screening
- Good communication skills
- Technical aptitude to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Strong ability to learn new concepts and equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Get themselves and necessary tools/equipment onto the rooftop
- typically via fixed/extension ladder.
- Work at heights
- Load and unload tools/equipment from work van
- Lifting occasionally up to 75lbs.
- Lifting to shoulder and overhead occasionally up to 25 lbs.
- Push/pull wheeled cart up to 150 lbs.
- Climb ladder up to roof height.
- Extend reach overhead in a repetitive motion.
