In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems across various property types. Your expertise will ensure optimal climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize your technical skills, and contribute to building comfort and safety for our clients. A strong foundation in HVAC systems combined with construction experience and mechanical knowledge will set you up for success in this exciting role. Duties Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot wiring and control problems. Conduct plumbing and mechanical repairs on HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation. preventive maintenance and diagnosing service problems on Gas, Oil, heat pumps, Central air conditioning being on call able to work on weekends if needed. Have necessary tools gauges test instruments to do the job. Maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, Service. systems ,Renovations Maintain compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly and safely. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to extend equipment lifespan and improve system efficiency. Utilize welding skills for repairs or modifications of mechanical components when necessary. Diagnose complex issues involving ammonia refrigeration or other specialized systems. Operate a driver's license vehicle to travel between job sites efficiently. Document all service activities thoroughly and communicate findings clearly to clients or team members. Experience Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems installation and repair. Service technician experience working with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems in commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of schematics, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, refrigeration cycles, and building automation systems. Mechanical knowledge encompassing boiler operation, equipment repair, welding techniques, and property maintenance. Familiarity with HVAC design principles and field service procedures for troubleshooting complex systems. EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required; additional certifications in ammonia refrigeration or boiler operation are a plus. Experience working with appliance repair or property maintenance tasks related to air conditioning units or mechanical systems is advantageous.
