Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead HVAC Installer to spearhead our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) installation projects. In this vital role, you will lead a team of skilled technicians to ensure the efficient and precise installation of HVAC systems across various commercial and residential properties. Your expertise in HVAC design, schematics, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems will drive project success from start to finish. Duties Lead and coordinate HVAC installation projects, ensuring adherence to schematics, blueprints, and design specifications. Supervise and mentor a team of installers, providing technical guidance and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical equipment. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and HVAC design plans to execute installations accurately. Perform field service tasks such as equipment repair, maintenance, appliance repair, plumbing connections, welding, and boiler servicing. Operate diagnostic tools including ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure system integrity. Manage property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems to optimize performance and longevity. Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes, service reports, and safety inspections for each project. Qualifications Proven experience in construction with a strong background in HVAC installation and service technician roles. Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, electrical schematics, and mechanical systems. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and HVAC design plans with precision. Hands-on experience with equipment repair, welding, boiler maintenance, and property maintenance tasks. Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in field service operations involving appliance repair or HVAC/R systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred. Familiarity with the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments.
