Job Description

Mericle Construction, Inc. is currently seeking Skilled HVAC Service Technicians to join our team. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for routinely performing preventative maintenance tasks, start-up of new equipment, repairs and troubleshooting on a variety of HVAC equipment. Mericle Construction, Inc. is the largest, full-service developer of industrial, office, flex, and medical space along Pennsylvania's I-81 Corridor. Mericle has developed more than 100 buildings in the Scranton/Pittston/Wilkes-Barre/Hazleton area. The Mericle team includes licensed architects, land planners, professional engineers, surveyors, licensed electricians, plumbers, carpenters, leasing and marketing professionals, property managers, and more.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine scheduled maintenance and emergency service on HVAC/R equipment and control systems Troubleshoot, install, replace, and modify HVAC/R systems, including fiberboard and metal ductwork Apply strong knowledge of current mechanical and HVAC industry standards Work independently with minimal supervision and provide direction to team members when needed Prepare detailed service reports and information to support project and repair quotations Communicate regularly with the service team to maintain schedules, update progress, and submit required documentation via mobile technology Interact professionally with customers regarding service updates, scheduling, and arrival/departure notification
Qualifications:
Associates Degree with 5+ years of proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or 10+ years as a HVAC Service Technician EPA refrigerant certification is required Proficiency in performing repairs and maintenance on various types of HVAC equipment Knowledgeable in the aspects of all commercial HVAC repair processes Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of electrical systems Comfortable with working on ladders, scissors and boom lifts. Understands basic HVAC system design principles and mechanical drawings Experienced with safety requirements in an industrial setting Able to multitask and handle multiple simultaneous assignments
