Job Description

Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain our multifamily residential property. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in renovating apartments, completing work orders efficiently, performing routine and emergency maintenance, and ensuring residents are satisfied with their living environment. Responsibilities Respond promptly to service requests and work orders from residents and management.
Perform general maintenance tasks including:
HVAC and heating system troubleshooting Boiler maintenance Sheetrock/drywall repair Leak detection and repair Painting and touch-ups Basic plumbing (e.g., unclog drains, replace fixtures) Basic electrical (e.g., replace outlets/switches, troubleshoot lights) Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory in a clean and organized manner. Assist in unit turnovers (make-ready work) including patching, painting, appliance checks, and cleaning. Maintain exterior grounds, common areas, and ensure property is presentable. Follow all safety procedures and regulations. Communicate effectively with property managers, team members, and residents. Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies. Qualifications Proven experience as a maintenance technician, handyman, or similar role (preferably in multifamily housing) Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus A strong work ethic with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
