Commercial HVAC Service Team Lead Lead by Example. Build the Next Generation of HVAC Technicians. Walton & Company is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Team Lead to help lead our growing Commercial HVAC Service Department. We're looking for a technician with 10+ years of commercial HVAC experience who enjoys solving complex mechanical problems, mentoring others, and setting the standard for quality, professionalism, and customer service. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll continue servicing commercial and industrial HVAC systems while providing technical guidance, coaching, and support to fellow technicians. Responsibilities include:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial and industrial HVAC systems Provide technical guidance and jobsite support to service technicians Mentor apprentices and developing technicians through hands-on training Assist with difficult diagnostics and system troubleshooting Perform equipment start-ups, commissioning, and major component replacements Service rooftop units, chillers, boilers, pumps, VRF systems, VAV systems, and building automation controls Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Walton's quality standards Communicate with customers regarding equipment condition and repair recommendations Work closely with the Service Manager and Service Coordinators to support daily operations Complete electronic service documentation accurately and on time Participate in the on-call rotation Lead by example in professionalism, safety, and customer service What We're Looking For 10+ years of commercial HVAC service experience EPA Universal Certification Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Maryland HVACR License (or ability to obtain within 90 days, if required) Extensive experience servicing: Commercial rooftop units Chillers Boilers VRF systems VAV systems Water-source heat pumps Refrigeration systems Building automation/DDC controls Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Proven leadership or mentoring experience Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement Why Join Walton?
