HVAC Controls Service TechnicianLocation:

Greater Boston, MARole OverviewWe are hiring a Senior HVAC Controls Service Technician to support and troubleshoot building automation and HVAC control systems throughout the Greater Boston area. This is a primarily on‑site service role with occasional remote troubleshooting and participation in an on‑call rotation.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform on‑site service, diagnostics, and repair of HVAC control and building automation systemsTroubleshoot system issues independently and provide remote support when requiredRespond to service calls in commercial and institutional facilitiesParticipate in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours or emergency serviceCommission, test, and verify control sequences and system operationInterface directly with customers to explain issues, solutions, and recommendationsSupport preventative maintenance and system optimization effortsAccurately document service activities and system changesPerform work on projects paid under prevailing wage requirements when applicableRequired Qualifications3 or more years of hands‑on experience in HVAC controls or building automation serviceStrong troubleshooting skills with controllers, field devices, and HVAC equipmentAbility to work independently on customer sitesComfort supporting systems remotely as neededSolid understanding of HVAC systems, sequences of operation, and control logicValid driver's license and ability to travel within the Greater Boston areaPreferred QualificationsExperience with Niagara, Tridium, or JCI FX platformsOEM or manufacturer training on major BAS platformsBackground supporting pharmaceutical, critical environment, healthcare, higher education, or industrial facilitiesTechnical CompetenciesBuilding Automation and HVAC control systemsNiagara Framework, Tridium, and JCI FX experience preferred but not requiredControllers, sensors, actuators, VFDs, and networking componentsBAS programming, point‑to‑point checkout, and system diagnosticsOpen protocols including BACnet and ModbusWork Environment and SchedulePrimarily on‑site service role in the Greater Boston areaOccasional remote troubleshootingParticipation in an on‑call rotationMix of standard service work and prevailing wage projectsFlexible work environment that respects work‑life balanceCompensation, Benefits, and GrowthHourly pay range of $50 to $60 per hour, based on experienceOvertime opportunities available100 percent of health insurance premiums paid by the companyStable workload with a company known for low turnover and long employee tenureClear opportunities for career growth, advanced technical development, and leadership paths If you would be interested in having a conversation, please apply now!
