HVAC Service Technician

Job Title:

HVAC Service Technician Job Description This role involves utilizing advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on HVAC units. Experience with Daikin systems is essential, along with familiarity with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and company guidelines related to building operations and work safety. Responsibilities Perform assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance tasks. Complete maintenance and repair records as required. Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs. Procure necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. Maintain an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems efficiently, minimizing operating costs. Utilize welding and brazing techniques. Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. Provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. Monitor building system operations and performance under limited supervision. Essential Skills HVAC commercial experience. Experience with VRF and VRV systems. Proficiency in brazing and commercial construction. EPA Universal certification. Knowledge of HVAC theory. Driver's license. OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain. Additional Skills & Qualifications EPA 608 certification. Universal CFC certification preferred. Additional certification in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration systems, or process controls. Certifications/licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position operates Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexible hours for the person and weekends. The role requires comfort working outdoors and a preference for candidates residing within the NYC (5 Boroughs). Commercial experience is a must. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Island City, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
