HVAC Technicians and Lead Installers

Duties Install, service, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations and repairs. Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure peak performance and longevity. Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; perform necessary repairs or replacements. Collaborate with team members on large-scale installation projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project timelines. Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and leak detection. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and logs for all work performed. Operate company vehicles safely in compliance with transportation regulations; assist in property maintenance as needed. Experience Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems. Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge of boilers, appliances, plumbing, and electrical components related to HVAC systems. Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles. Field service experience involving equipment repair, maintenance, troubleshooting using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Welding skills and experience with property maintenance or appliance repair are advantageous. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate driver vehicles safely. Additional certifications such as HVAC/R license or specialized training in mechanical systems are preferred.
