  • East Providence, RI Our client is a growing provider of residential home comfort services, delivering heating, cooling, plumbing, and energy-related solutions throughout the region.
They are known for dependable service, quality workmanship, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing residential heating, cooling, plumbing, and oil-fired systems while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high-quality workmanship. The role includes routine maintenance, emergency service, equipment replacement, and participation in an after-hours on-call rotation.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential HVAC, heating, cooling, plumbing, and oil-fired systems Diagnose equipment malfunctions and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions Perform preventative maintenance, emergency service calls, and equipment replacements Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable codes Review daily schedules, work orders, and project requirements Coordinate with office staff and management to ensure jobs are properly prepared and equipped Verify required materials, tools, equipment, and labor resources before beginning work Communicate project timelines, service interruptions, and recommendations to customers Complete service calls and installations efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship Document work performed through service notes, photos, and job records Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians when assigned Troubleshoot job-site challenges and communicate issues to management as needed Test and inspect completed systems to verify proper operation and performance Review completed work with customers and explain system operation, maintenance requirements, and equipment features Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment Collect payments and complete required documentation when necessary Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule and respond to emergency service requests as needed
Qualifications:
Experience servicing, repairing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing residential HVAC systems Experience working with residential heating systems, cooling systems, oil-fired equipment, and plumbing systems Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude Experience performing preventative maintenance and emergency service repairs Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Ability to travel to customer locations throughout the service area Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment, tools, and materials required for the position Ability to work in varying weather conditions, basements, crawl spaces, attics, and mechanical rooms
Compensation:
Base salary in the 30.00
