Warwick, RI Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated HVAC Service Manager to lead and oversee our residential and commercial service operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical knowledge, strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of managing HVAC service teams. This individual will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining operational efficiency, supporting technician development, and driving departmental performance. Qualifications Required Experience Minimum of 10 years of HVAC service experience in both residential and commercial applications. Demonstrated experience supervising, mentoring, and managing service technicians. Extensive troubleshooting and diagnostic experience with a wide variety of HVAC equipment and systems. Strong understanding of industry best practices, safety regulations, and code requirements. Licensing & Certifications Current HVAC trade licenses as required by state and local regulations. EPA Universal Certification required. Additional industry certifications (NATE, manufacturer certifications, etc.) are highly desirable.
Technical Skills Comprehensive knowledge of:
Air conditioning systems Heat pumps Gas, oil, and electric heating systems Commercial rooftop units Boilers and hydronic systems Building controls and related technologies Ability to review technical reports, diagnose complex issues, and provide guidance to technicians. Computer Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong general computer skills, including service management software, scheduling platforms, and digital communication tools. Ability to generate reports, analyze service metrics, and maintain accurate records. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the HVAC service department. Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate service technicians. Schedule and coordinate service calls to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction. Provide advanced technical support and field assistance when necessary. Monitor service quality and ensure compliance with company standards. Review estimates, service reports, and warranty claims. Develop and implement procedures to improve operational performance. Maintain strong relationships with customers and resolve escalated service concerns. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Track departmental performance indicators and recommend improvements.
