HVAC Service Technician-Charleston, SC

HVAC Service Technician Location:

Charleston, SC Pay Range:

$25.00-$30.00 (DOE) We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on commercial HVAC systems.

Responsibilities include servicing:

DX equipment up to 100 tons Packaged, water-cooled AC units up to 150 tons Water source heat pumps and associated equipment Computer room units with self-contained humidifiers and controls Gas-fired and electric heating systems up to 150 tons Pneumatic, electronic, and DDC control systems Air handling units, including VAV system

Key Duties:

Starting systems, Observing operation, Adjusting valves, controls, and pumps to regulate fluid levels, pressure, and temperature. Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment, replace defective parts, and perform site start-up services for new installations. Conduct preventative maintenance, including cleaning coils, ducts, and replacing fan belts, as well as installing electrical wiring for components. Keep the dispatcher informed of job status, check in daily, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

High School or Trade School Graduate (or GED) Universal Refrigerant Card (Type I or Universal) 4 years of commercial HVAC experience. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently or in a team. Flexible schedule, including on-call rotation for emergency service. Neat appearance and well-maintained equipment. Adherence to safety procedures, including defensive driving.
