Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and efficiency of building environments. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, boilers, and air conditioning units. As a skilled service technician, you will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and maintain equipment across diverse property types. Your mechanical expertise and field service experience will directly contribute to maintaining optimal indoor climates and property value. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and appliances. Conduct plumbing and mechanical work related to HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards. Read and interpret HVAC design plans and schematics to accurately execute system installations or repairs. Utilize welding skills for metal fabrication or repair of HVAC components when necessary. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed; communicate effectively with clients regarding system status and recommendations. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations including proper handling of ammonia refrigeration systems and other hazardous materials. Skills Proven experience in construction-related HVAC installation or service technician roles with a strong mechanical background. Extensive knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including refrigeration cycles and ammonia refrigeration. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with HVAC design principles. Skilled in plumbing, appliance repair, boiler operation, and property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems. Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; capable of equipment repair and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Field service experience working on commercial or residential properties; comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transportation between job sites. Additional skills such as welding, maintenance procedures, or mechanic experience are highly valued for versatile problem-solving capabilities.
