The Role:
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician who specializes in residential systems and light commercial equipment (such as rooftop package units and split systems). In this role, you will be the face of our company in the field—troubleshooting complex electrical and refrigerant issues, performing clean maintenance tune-ups, and ensuring systems run at peak efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems (heat pumps, straight A/C, ductless mini-splits, and package units up to 5 tons). Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance, including checking airflow, cleaning coils, and verifying critical performance metrics like subcool and superheat. Clearly explain diagnostic findings to homeowners and business managers, presenting honest options for repair versus proactive replacement. Install or recommend system enhancements, such as Wi-Fi thermostats, surge protectors, and indoor air quality solutions. Maintain accurate digital service records, including parts used, diagnostic readings, and customer recommendations.
Requirements:
Proven field experience as an HVAC Service Technician specializing in residential or light commercial service. EPA Universal Certification. Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with modern air conditioning technology and controls. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and background. Professional demeanor with excellent customer service and communication skills.
