Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems in residential properties, including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing HVAC systems to optimize performance. Conduct service technician tasks such as diagnosing system issues using tools like ohmmeters and refrigerant gauges. Repair or replace components including compressors, motors, thermostats, plumbing connections, and refrigeration parts. Utilize welding skills when necessary for custom ductwork or equipment repairs. Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and local building codes while maintaining a clean work environment. Qualifications Proven experience in construction, HVAC installation, or service technician roles with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration processes, and property maintenance. Familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Hands-on experience with equipment repair, boiler systems, welding techniques, and appliance repair. Ability to read technical diagrams and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) or driver certification preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with field service experience in residential settings.
