Technician - HVAC McMurry University - 4.3 Abilene, TX Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications English High school diploma or GED Power tools Hand tools EPA Certification Full Job Description This position performs various preventive maintenance and repairs on small and large commercial heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and related components. Work involves application of mechanical and electrical skills to maintain and repair associated equipment. Major Duties/Responsibilities Work with gas fired boiler heating systems and roof top package units.

Change A/C compressors and all electrical controls. Performs maintenance, repair, and minor construction in or on any and all facilities, systems, or University-owned property. Observes and reports discrepancies. Discusses tasks and projects and suggests appropriate methods for completion. Submits work order completion reports completely, timely, and accurately. Operates vehicles, equipment, and hand/power tools as necessary. Maintains and cleans tools used in daily activities. Cares for and maintains tools, equipment, keys, uniforms, and other items issued. Cleans tools, equipment, and work areas as directed. Performs other duties as assigned. Perform preventive maintenance, trouble shoot, and repair of building heating and cooling system including centrifugal and reciprocating chilled water systems, water pumps, and cooling towers. Required Qualifications High school graduate or

GED. EPA

certification card is required. Extensive experience in a building or construction trade. Experience with hand and power tools. Knowledge of basic safety requirements, procedures, and techniques. Ability and willingness to learn new skills, knowledge, and techniques. Ability to read, write, and speak English.
