Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, and ventilation equipment in residential properties. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure precise installation aligned with design specifications. Conduct system testing and commissioning to verify proper operation and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC units, refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, and related mechanical components. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose electrical issues or mechanical failures. Ensure all installations comply with local codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines. Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems to support ongoing system performance and longevity. Skills Strong construction background with experience in mechanical installation processes. Service technician experience with HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, or appliance repair. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of HVAC design principles and system troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration). Mechanical aptitude with experience operating tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools. Field service experience handling equipment repair, property maintenance tasks, and appliance troubleshooting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle safely. Basic understanding of boiler systems and mechanical components like pumps or valves.
