Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and field service experience. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of HVAC equipment, including refrigeration systems, boilers, and air conditioning units. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of heating and cooling systems across commercial and residential properties, adhering to safety standards and technical specifications. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration , and ventilation equipment. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately perform installations and repairs. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation. Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems when necessary. Repair appliances and perform property maintenance tasks associated with HVAC systems. Utilize welding skills for equipment repair or modifications as needed. Assist with the installation and repair of refrigeration systems. Follow safety protocols during all field service activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Maintain detailed service records and reports for each job performed. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician in construction with at least 5 years experience. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and boiler operations. Ability to read schematics and interpret HVAC design plans accurately. Experience with equipment repair, welding, and maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems. Familiarity with tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices. Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record ( driver preferred). Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field. Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Relevant certifications or licenses in HVAC or mechanical fields are preferred but not mandatory.
