The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the refrigeration cycle and the diagnostic skills necessary to troubleshoot complex issues. We need someone who is equally comfortable performing precise diagnostics as they are leading a full system installation or major component replacement.
Key Responsibilities System Diagnostics:
Perform advanced troubleshooting on residential and commercial units to identify mechanical and electrical failures.
Installation & Replacement:
Lead the installation of new units and the replacement of major components, including compressors, coils, and heat exchangers.
Refrigeration Management:
Apply a thorough knowledge of the refrigeration process to charge systems and recover refrigerants in compliance with EPA standards.
System Commissioning:
Ensure all new installations are properly calibrated for maximum efficiency and longevity.
Full System Installation:
Lead the installation of new high-efficiency HVAC systems, including furnace units, condensers, and evaporator coils, ensuring all manufacturer specifications and local building codes are met.
Major Component Replacement:
Perform heavy mechanical repairs, including the replacement of failed compressors, reversing valves, heat exchangers, and blower motor assemblies.
System Commissioning:
Conduct post-installation testing (checking static pressure, superheat/subcooling, and amp draws) to ensure newly installed equipment is operating at peak performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications Diagnostic & Mechanical Expertise:
Proven ability to use manifold gauges and multimeters; proficiency in brazing and system repairs.
Certifications:
EPA 608 Certification is required.
Experience:

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied environments.
Mechanical Aptitude:
