Pay:
$800 - $1,000 per week + per diem + bonus About Mountain View Vocational Institute Mountain View Vocational Institute has been training tradespeople in El Paso for over a decade. We are a TWC-licensed career school offering CDL, heavy equipment, NCCCO crane, welding, construction, and culinary programs. Our students include transitioning service members, veterans using GI Bill benefits, and career changers across the El Paso region. We are expanding our trades programs and adding an HVAC instructor to launch hands-on HVAC training. The Role You will train students for entry-level careers in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration through our hands-on, cohort-based program. You will take students from classroom fundamentals through real equipment work, preparing them to be jobsite-ready. What You Will Do Deliver classroom instruction on HVAC/R fundamentals, electrical basics, refrigeration cycles, and safety Lead hands-on training on heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems Coach students on installation, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair Prepare students for entry-level HVAC employment and relevant certifications Evaluate and document student progress against program requirements Maintain training records, tools, and equipment Uphold a safety-first training environment at all times What You Need Minimum two years of verifiable HVAC/R experience EPA Section 608 certification Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Must be able to qualify as an instructor under the Texas Workforce Commission career school requirements Strong communication skills and patience working with students of varied backgrounds and experience levels Reliable, punctual, and committed to student success Preferred Prior instruction or training experience HVAC license or journeyman-level credentials Bilingual English/Spanish Military background or experience working with veteran and transitioning service member populations Compensation and Benefits Full-time, 1099 independent contractor position Consistent weekday schedule Steady, year-round work with a growing school Per diem and performance bonus Opportunity to advance as we add programs How to Apply Send your resume, or just call or text us to talk.
