Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Journeyman HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in delivering expert HVAC services, ensuring optimal comfort, safety, and efficiency across various properties. As a senior technician, you will lead complex installation, maintenance, and repair projects, utilizing your extensive mechanical knowledge and field service experience. Your expertise in HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and equipment repair will drive exceptional service delivery and uphold our commitment to quality. Duties Perform advanced installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical equipment. Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations and repairs. Conduct comprehensive system diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to identify issues accurately. Lead field service operations by managing multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. Repair and maintain plumbing systems, appliances, and mechanical components integral to HVAC operations. Utilize welding skills for fabrication or repair tasks involving HVAC or property maintenance equipment. Assist in the training and mentoring of junior technicians while ensuring all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations. Qualifications Proven experience as a construction or service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems with a strong mechanical background. Journeyman-level certification or equivalent experience in HVAC technology; senior-level preferred. Extensive knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, and boiler operation. Hands-on experience with equipment repair, welding, property maintenance, appliance repair, and field service operations. Familiarity with technical tools such as ohmmeters and diagnostic testing devices. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately for installation and troubleshooting purposes. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles is advantageous. Strong communication skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
