We are expanding our network of trusted HVAC installation partners and are seeking experienced subcontractors to support our growing residential member base throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market. Position Summary Prefix is seeking reliable, licensed, and experienced Residential HVAC Installation Subcontractors to perform residential air conditioning system replacements and installations under a 1099 independent contractor agreement. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, maintains a professional appearance, and is committed to delivering an outstanding customer experience. Responsibilities Perform residential HVAC system replacements and new installations in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local code requirements. Install condensers, air handlers, furnaces, evaporator coils, thermostats, and related HVAC components. Verify proper system operation, airflow, refrigerant charge, and overall system performance before project completion. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while protecting the member's home. Communicate professionally with homeowners and the Prefix Operations team throughout each project. Complete required installation documentation and submit job photos upon completion. Follow all OSHA safety standards and Prefix installation procedures. Qualifications Proven experience installing residential HVAC systems. Strong knowledge of residential HVAC equipment, installation best practices, and applicable building codes. EPA Section 608 Certification required. Ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional workmanship and professionalism. Must provide and maintain the tools and equipment necessary to perform residential HVAC installations. Appropriate licensing and insurance required for independent contractors, as applicable by state and local regulations.
