In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency. Conduct plumbing and refrigeration repairs as needed to support HVAC system functionality. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose electrical problems and perform mechanical repairs. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports documenting all inspections, repairs, and replacements. Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all installation and repair activities. Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems, including ductwork cleaning and component replacements. Operate company vehicles safely as a driver when traveling between job sites. Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R systems requiring specialized knowledge. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields; construction background is highly valued. Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical systems troubleshooting. Knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and appliance repair. Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other diagnostic devices. Field service experience with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a driver is preferred. Familiarity with property maintenance practices related to HVAC systems. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately; excellent problem-solving skills required. Certifications in HVAC/R technology or refrigeration are a plus; ongoing training encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
