  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and drive excellence in building comfort and system efficiency.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and reliable climate control. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced mechanical systems, utilize technical schematics, and deliver exceptional service to our clients. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units. Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults in electrical components of HVAC systems. Repair plumbing connections related to HVAC equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants. Diagnose issues with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration where applicable; repair or replace components as needed. Utilize welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication when necessary; operate field service vehicles safely adhering to driver requirements. Maintain detailed service records, logs of inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance reports. Stay current with industry advancements in HVAC technology, building automation systems, and environmental regulations. Skills Construction experience combined with hands-on service technician expertise in HVAC systems. Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design documentation. Strong mechanical knowledge including mechanical systems repair and maintenance practices. Experience with electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters; troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently. Knowledge of refrigeration principles including ammonia refrigeration systems; familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration). Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; experience with appliance repair is advantageous. Maintenance experience is beneficial. Strong field service skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team under tight deadlines.
