Position Overview We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, and wants to continue growing technically and professionally. This role is ideal for someone who: Enjoys solving difficult problems Wants to become elite in diagnostics Appreciates structure and standards Wants to work for a company that values quality over volume Understands that reputation is earned through consistency You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and optimizing residential and light commercial HVAC systems while delivering an exceptional customer experience. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems Perform preventative maintenance and system evaluations Troubleshoot airflow, electrical, refrigeration, and control issues Communicate findings clearly and professionally with clients Document service calls thoroughly using Housecall Pro Recommend appropriate repair and upgrade solutions when needed Maintain clean, organized company vehicles and work areas Follow company standards, procedures, and safety requirements Participate in continued training and development Preferred Experience 3+ years HVAC service experience preferred Strong diagnostic ability Experience with: Gas furnaces Heat pumps Straight cool systems Mini splits IAQ products Electrical diagnostics Refrigeration troubleshooting Understanding of static pressure, airflow, and system performance is a major plus Experience with communicating systems and zoning preferred EPA Certification required NATE, NCI, or additional certifications are a plus Requirements Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record Professional appearance and communication Ability to use mobile apps and software in the field Must be dependable and punctual Must be able to lift equipment and work in attics, outdoors, and mechanical spaces Must care about doing quality work Must work well independently and with a team Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience and capability Overtime opportunities Company vehicle for qualified technicians Paid training and professional development Union-affiliated opportunities and benefits through UA Local 211 Uniforms provided Supportive team environment Opportunity for advancement as the company grows About Texcellent A/C Service Texcellent A/C Service is a Texas-built company focused on delivering better HVAC through professionalism, diagnostics, and true craftsmanship.
