Those with at least 5-6 years of prior experience are encouraged to apply. Professional attitude and excellent communication skills are also required. Heavy controls experience is required. Main tasks involve heading to new construction sites and commissioning new equipment. Troubleshooting and repairs must be made where needed as well. Up to 60 hours a week work schedule. Travel trailer and $65/day per diem provided. Job could last up to 9 months. General Skills and Technical Abilities - At least 3 years of experience as a HVAC technician Great command of the refrigerant cycle & low voltage controls Knowledgeable or with some experience concerning VRF/VRV would be nice but not mandatory. Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services. Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently. Providing technical direction and on-the-job training. Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions. Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act. Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements. Assisting with customers' queries. Able to create material needs request. Able to plan and schedule work. Able to craft professional correspondence. Has basic excel skills. Determining a project's needs in collaboration with various stakeholders. Setting deadlines. Tracking (and reporting on) progress. Equipment management. Ordering materials. Time management Skills. Personal Attributes Honest and trustworthy Respectful Flexible Sound work ethic Must haves: -Valid identification proving right-to-work in the US. -Basic tools of the trade and PPE (if required).
