Lead Maintenance Technician (HVAC Certified) - Plano The Valcap Group - 4.3 Plano, TX Job Details Full-time 21 hours ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Maintenance HVAC Certification Delegation Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee and manage the maintenance operations of our apartment community. The ideal candidate will be HVAC certified, skilled in a wide range of maintenance areas, and able to lead by example while mentoring the maintenance team to ensure our residents enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment.
What You'll Do:
Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring timely and professional completion of work orders. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and guide team members on best practices. Perform and delegate general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and preventative maintenance. Lead unit inspections, make-ready turnovers, and ensure curb appeal standards are met. Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain tools and equipment in proper condition. Train, mentor, and support maintenance staff to promote skill development and efficiency. Participate in and supervise the on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.What We're Looking For:
HVAC certification (required). Minimum 3-5 years of multifamily property maintenance experience (lead/supervisory role preferred). Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and carpentry. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
