W e are primarily a New Construction HVAC subcontractor specializing in commercial projects. We focus on providing high-quality HVAC installations on time and per contract. We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Commercial Technician to join our team as field supervisor over seeing all aspects once units are set in place.
Job Summary:
As an HVAC Commercial Technician with our company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in commercial settings. You will be involved from the beginning to end of all projects, confirming all specs followed, all sequences set up properly in a timely manner. You would not only direct company technician but 3rd. party contractors as well. This position offers a balanced work-life environment, primarily involving new construction projects, periodic maintenance agreements, and repairs. Your primary responsibility will be to apply your extensive HVAC knowledge to deliver outstanding service to our clients. We feel your time will roughly be 60% hands on and 40% in office, planning, setting up and managing jobs.
Responsibilities:
Perform and direct installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems. Utilize in-depth knowledge of industry-leading brands such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Carrier, Trane, Lennox, AAON, and JCI. Interpret and work with plans, specifications, and shop drawings effectively, confirming sensors, wire size, and equipment setup Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills. Proficiently handle controls and wiring schematics for proper equipment setup before startup is scheduled. Collaborate with team members and provide guidance in a positive and effective manner. Maintain a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and professionalism in all interactions. Efficiently use electronic devices for communication, reporting, and documentation purposes. Perform approximately 90% new construction tasks, with the remainder dedicated to PM agreements and repairs. Participate in occasional Saturday half-day shifts (up to 2-3 times per year) with limited overtime requirements. Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Maintain a clean driving record (MVR) and adhere to all company policies, submit to random drug test Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repairs. Valid EPA Type II certification is required. Strong understanding of controls, wiring schematics, and electronic devices. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
