Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an HVAC Service Technician Apprentice and kickstart your career in the thriving field of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration! Duties Assist senior technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and plumbing components Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to support troubleshooting and system upgrades Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment to identify issues and perform preventative maintenance tasks Support field service operations by transporting tools and equipment safely using a driver license where applicable Learn to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical faults effectively Participate in welding, equipment repair, and component replacement activities to ensure optimal system performance Follow safety protocols during all job activities and maintain a clean work environment Qualifications Basic knowledge of construction principles and mechanical systems Prior experience as a service technician or in property maintenance is advantageous but not required; eagerness to learn is essential Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design concepts, plumbing, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand complex systems such as HVAC/R units and boilers Ability to operate diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and perform basic equipment repairs confidently Experience with field service work or appliance repair is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided Valid driver license or willingness to obtain one; clean driving record preferred Willingness to learn welding techniques and mechanical troubleshooting methods Embark on an exciting journey into the world of HVAC/R technology with us!
