Job title:

HVAC Technician Duties and Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, and refrigeration systems. Inspect and test HVAC systems and components for any problems. Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks to ensure system longevity. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various HVAC systems. Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act. Record HVAC maintenance and repair work performed and keep a record of the type and cost of maintenance or repair work. Respond to emergency calls for HVAC problems. Provide excellent customer service and explain to customers what repairs are needed and what has been done.

Minimum Education and Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field. Proven experience as an HVAC Technician. Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating. Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in confined spaces.
