Capacity to help with installations is a big plus. We are growing and looking for a technician with a good attitude, strong technical skills, great people skills, and a team player. The right person will be paid very well but we are not looking for average. We are looking for a lead tech. You must have tools. We drug test and background check. We provide top salary, bonuses, vehicle, vacation, ongoing training, and a family working environment. This is not a seasonal position. It will be full time all year. We work all over the central, west, and south areas of Houston and upper Galveston County. Send resume. Duties Lead and coordinate HVAC service calls, installations, repairs, and maintenance projects with efficiency and professionalism. Diagnose system issues using tools such as ohmmeters and interpret schematics to identify root causes quickly. Perform HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) system troubleshooting, including ammonia refrigeration systems where applicable. Oversee plumbing and appliance repair tasks related to HVAC systems to ensure seamless operation. Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical components like boilers, pumps, fans, and ductwork to uphold safety standards. Utilize HVAC design principles to modify or upgrade existing systems for improved efficiency and compliance. Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, system modifications, and parts used; prepare detailed reports for clients and management. Mentor junior technicians in technical skills such as welding, equipment repair, property maintenance, and field service best practices. Ensure all work complies with safety protocols including proper handling of refrigerants and ammonia systems; operate equipment like welders safely. Support the procurement of parts and materials necessary for ongoing maintenance projects while adhering to budget guidelines. Experience Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC systems installation, repair, and maintenance. Extensive knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC system integration within commercial or industrial properties. Hands-on experience with schematics reading, HVAC design modifications, plumbing systems, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and boiler operation. Mechanical knowledge complemented by skills in equipment repair, welding techniques, and appliance troubleshooting. Field service experience working on air conditioning units, property maintenance tasks, and complex mechanical systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles preferred. Familiarity with Ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics; ability to interpret electrical schematics accurately. Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) standards and safety regulations is essential.
