Ludlum Measurements Inc is seeking a qualified HVAC Technician to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. The HVAC Technician will install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for our facilities.
Job Type:
Full-Time, In-Person Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Install new HVAC units in commercial, industrial and other buildings as necessary Install ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC systems Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units to ensure proper operation Inspect and troubleshoot problems with existing HVAC units Assist in maintaining inventory for replacement parts and order replacements Comply with company and industry safety standards Performs other related duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications Excellent analytical, logical and problem-solving skills Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment Ability to safety use power and hand tools Ability to use thermostats, pressure gauges and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC systems Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems Ability to follow instructions Excellent mechanical skills Organizational skills and attention to detail a must Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Vocational / technical school training or apprenticeship preferred At least (2) one year of related work experience required EPA Section 608 Technician Certification preferred Physical Requirements Physically able to work on HVAC units Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling or climbing ladders Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time Compensation / Benefits Salary is dependent upon experience Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Flexible Spending Account Opportunities for professional growth and development About Ludlum Measurements Ludlum Measurements, Inc. designs and manufactures radiation detection instruments used in environmental, industrial, and governmental applications around the world.
