Troubleshoot mechanical systems by analyzing mechanical components and electrical wiring to identify faults quickly and efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports documenting all maintenance activities and repairs performed. Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols. Operate a driver vehicle safely to reach various job sites while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC/R systems including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and plumbing. Proven service technician experience with field service operations involving equipment repair and troubleshooting. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans for accurate diagnostics. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and performing welding or other mechanical repairs as needed. Knowledge of construction principles relevant to HVAC installation or maintenance projects. Experience with appliance repair, property maintenance tasks, and general mechanical work in commercial or industrial settings. Familiarity with safety procedures related to refrigerants (including ammonia), electrical systems, welding techniques, and boiler operation. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate heavy equipment when required.
