Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Installer Technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires hands-on experience and a solid understanding of mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of air conditioning units. The technician will work on various projects, providing exceptional service to our clients while adhering to safety standards and regulations. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment. Troubleshoot HVAC issues using schematics and diagnostic tools. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems. Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, and fans. Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations regarding HVAC installations. Provide excellent customer service by explaining issues and solutions clearly to clients. Collaborate with other technicians and contractors on construction projects as needed. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC design and refrigeration systems. Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and pressure gauges. Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC installations. Experience in field service roles with a focus on appliance repair and property maintenance. Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus. Welding skills for equipment repairs may be beneficial. Previous experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable. A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
