Recognition awards, company events, family events, university discount options, gender pay equality, and additional company perks Sterling Engineering is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of facility and production support equipment. This role focuses on HVAC systems, chilled water systems, electrical troubleshooting, and building automation systems within a manufacturing environment.Job Duties :
- Repair, install, troubleshoot, and maintain chilled water systems and related equipment
- Troubleshoot heating and air conditioning equipment and perform preventive maintenance activities
- Inspect electrical circuits and wiring for abnormalities
- Work with both low and high voltage electrical circuits
- Read and interpret control circuits, diagrams, blueprints, drawings, and layouts
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, pumps, and related mechanical equipment
- Disassemble motors, pumps, and equipment in preparation for repair
- Utilize electrical hand tools and voltage/amperage measuring devices
- Operate vacuum pumps, refrigeration recovery equipment, and gauges
- Support building automation systems, with Siemens experience preferred
Qualifications :
- Journeyman HVAC license with commercial experience required
- Experience troubleshooting HVAC, chilled water, and refrigeration systems
- Familiarity with electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and control systems
- Experience with building automation systems preferred, specifically Siemens
- Ability to read blueprints, layouts, and technical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills
- Self-motivated with strong listening and communication skills
