Job Description

Overview Join our close knit team as a Mechanical HVAC and Plumbing Designer / Revit Specialist. At WHW Engineering, our BIM team members are more than just drafters—they are virtual builders. We are looking for an experienced BIM Designer who enjoys technical coordination and wants to play a critical role in the design team. If you are a Revit power-user who enjoys solving the "spatial puzzle" of complex HVAC and Plumbing systems, we want you on our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate on diverse projects, from commercial to institutional facilities, while honing your skills in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive mechanical HVAC and plumbing system designs utilizing primarily Revit 3D models and occasionally AutoCAD 2D drawings. Create detailed system schematics, piping layouts, ductwork routing, and equipment placement plans aligned with project specifications and client requirements. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams—including structural engineers, architects, and construction managers and lead the charge in clash detection and multi-discipline coordination to ensure "constructible" designs.
Standardize:
Contribute to the evolution of our BIM standards, families, and templates to keep our firm at the cutting edge.
Collaborate:
Work side-by-side with our engineers to translate design concepts into flawless construction documents. Support construction teams by providing detailed drawings, revisions, and technical guidance throughout project execution; participate in site visits to verify installation accuracy. Skills Proficiency in Revit for Building Information Modeling (BIM). Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles related to HVAC system design—including load calculations, duct sizing, piping systems, equipment selection—and plumbing system layout. Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
