Master HVAC Tech - Facility Condition Assessor R&K Solutions - 4.0 Alexandria, VA Job Details Full-time $89,600 - $102,200 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Commuter assistance Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Employee stock ownership plan Qualifications HVAC Certification Full Job Description R&K Solutions, Inc. is seeking a motivated and qualified licensed master Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician to perform on-site facility inventory and condition assessments for a Dept. of War (DoW) client, conforming to USACE's suite of Sustainment Management System (SMS) processes and software. Work will be on-site at multiple installations of DoW facilities, including commercial scale buildings, structures, utilities, and horizontal assets. Facilities Condition Assessor qualified in building HVAC design, installation, maintenance, and code compliance. Input of facility inventory and condition observations into SMS facility condition assessment software and contributor to data management and technical reports.
Clearance:
R&K will support application for the mandatory DoW Secret Security clearance, if not already held.
Duties:
A successful applicant will be required to: Perform on a team of condition assessment professionals in a field environment that is inspecting all architectural, structural, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and building envelope components of buildings. Serve as the team expert on inventory and condition assessment of commercial scale mechanical and HVAC generation, distribution, power supply, and related components and equipment. Use professional expertise to judge physical and functional conditions of equipment, code conformance, and other inspection criteria, then document with photos and comments in SMS software. Read and interpret building plans and drawings with the support of
CADD/GIS
tools. Use written and verbal communication skills to prepare sustainment/maintenance reports and brief supervisor, leadership, and customers. Follow all safety precautions while executing tasks on schedule and on budget.
Qualifications:
Must be a current Licensed Master
HVAC/HVACR
technician. State of licensure is flexible. 10 Years of experience in new construction or facility maintenance in the HVAC trade. Must be able to travel periodically. Most current work performance is in the Northern Virginia area. We trust our professionals to get the job done, so we collaborate on scheduling and allow telework when not in the field.
Desired:
Experience with USACE's Civil Engineering Research Lab (CERL) SMS condition assessment process and software, including conducting field assessments, data entry, and field application software use. Understand
UNIFORMAT II
building component data structure down to Level 4. Additional licenses or experience in other construction trades like general contractors, electrical, mechanical systems, plumbing, and/or fire protection. Knowledge of Department of War (DoW) facilities and infrastructure.
