Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Refrigeration Operator uses their hands-on knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and experience working with industrial refrigeration components to accomplish preventative and predictive maintenance tasks of the refrigeration department of the assigned facility . Assist with Boiler and steam system maintenance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but are not limited to, the following:- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration equipment, such as compressors, ammonia pumps condensing towers, etc.
- Full understanding of the refrigeration cycle
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and assigned work orders
- Perform troubleshooting activities, as necessary.
- Performs quality checks as required by position and/or product at assigned facility
- Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures and governing requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have supervisory responsibility. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
- Required o High school or equivalent o 5+ years of experience in Refrigeration, Maintenance, or similar skill set o Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA) membership w/Certified IIndustrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) or ability to obtain.
- Preferred o Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) certification e o Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to handle multiple projects at one time
