HVAC Maintenance Technician

Duties Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and boiler systems to ensure peak performance. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Install, modify, and upgrade HVAC systems according to design specifications and schematics. Perform welding, equipment repair, and component replacement on mechanical systems including boilers and ammonia refrigeration units. Diagnose electrical issues within HVAC systems utilizing mechanical knowledge and field service techniques. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs. Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport equipment or parts as needed for property maintenance or service calls. Skills Strong understanding of construction principles related to HVAC installation and repair. Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on HVAC, refrigeration, or appliance repair. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans. Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing systems, air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication tasks. Excellent field service skills with the ability to work independently in diverse environments while maintaining safety standards.
