Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of residential and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, make-up air units, exhaust systems, refrigeration equipment, and building automation controls. Experience troubleshooting complex commercial systems, reading mechanical drawings and schematics, and performing preventative maintenance is highly desirable. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment such as ammonia refrigeration systems. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC components using schematics, technical manuals, and design plans. Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure system efficiency and longevity, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and system calibrations. Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC/R blueprints to accurately diagnose issues. Repair mechanical components using tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment; perform plumbing repairs when necessary. Lead field service operations by coordinating with clients to schedule repairs and inspections; document all work performed thoroughly. Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulations related to HVAC/R systems and property maintenance. Skills Extensive experience in construction-related HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance projects. Proven service technician experience with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and refrigeration units. Ability to read detailed schematics and mechanical drawings; familiarity with HVAC design principles. Mechanical knowledge of boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and property maintenance procedures. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting; proficient in equipment repair techniques including welding. Field service experience with a focus on property upkeep and appliance troubleshooting; valid driver's license with a clean driving record. $22.00 - $40.00 per hour
