Role:
The HVAC Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and efficiency of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across Light commercial settings. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment to provide comfortable and safe indoor environments. The HVAC Mechanic will collaborate with clients and team members to assess system needs, recommend solutions, and implement repairs or installations. Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are paramount to prevent system failures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Ultimately, this role contributes to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability by maintaining systems that operate reliably and effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants. Proven experience working as an HVAC mechanic or technician. Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and electrical diagrams. Duct Work Fabrication and Installation RTU Installation Gas Piping Hoods experience a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record for travel to job sites.
Responsibilities:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to extend equipment lifespan. Install new HVAC systems and components according to manufacturer specifications and local codes. Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and service manuals to accurately diagnose issues. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all service and installation activities. Communicate effectively with clients to explain system issues, maintenance procedures, and recommended repairs. Maintain accurate service records and document work performed for future reference and warranty purposes.

The HVAC Mechanic utilizes technical skills daily to diagnose and repair complex heating and cooling systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical manuals allows for accurate installation and troubleshooting of equipment.
