Job Description

Maintenance Technician - Apartment Community (Norfolk, VA Area) Take Ownership. Make a Difference. Run Your Property Like a Pro! We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to manage maintenance operations at a residential community in the Norfolk, VA area. This is a one-person maintenance role , ideal for someone who is self-motivated, organized, and takes pride in independently keeping a property running smoothly. What You'll Do As the sole maintenance professional onsite, you'll be responsible for all day-to-day maintenance operations and ensuring residents enjoy a safe, comfortable living environment.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
Completing work orders efficiently and professionally Managing and performing apartment unit turnovers from start to finish Troubleshooting and repairing: HVAC systems Plumbing issues General maintenance repairs Maintaining property appearance, safety, and functionality Prioritizing tasks and managing your time effectively to meet property needs Providing excellent customer service to residents What We're Looking For Strong experience in HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance Proven ability to work independently and manage a full property's maintenance needs Experience completing unit turns from punch to ready Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills A reliable, self-starter with a positive attitude Commitment to quality work and resident satisfaction Why You'll Love This Role Independence and ownership of your work Opportunity to take pride in maintaining your property Variety in daily tasks—no two days are the same Direct impact on resident satisfaction and community success If you're a hands-on professional who thrives working independently and takes pride in doing the job right, we want to hear from you!
