Job Description
Overview Apex Mechanical is based in Battle Ground, WA. We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated professional with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as a team leader. This role is ideal for an experienced HVAC/R Journeyman who can install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial and residential buildings. Experience in sheet metal work and refrigeration with universal EPA certification is required. Most of our work is out of town, so employees must be willing and able to travel regularly. Responsibilities Install HVAC systems for new construction and renovation projects Interpret blueprints or design HVAC systems as needed Test, troubleshoot, and ensure proper system performance Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures Work independently or lead a team of HVAC technicians and apprentices Maintain professional communication with coworkers, management, and customers Maintain accurate records and documentation Ensure installations comply with state and local regulations Qualifications Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience preferred Sheet metal and refrigeration experience required Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Benefits Prevailing wage projects PTO 401(k) Medical Insurance, plus dental and vision coverage Licenses & Certifications Valid driver's license (required) EPA 608 Universal Certification (required) Drug test, background check, and a clean driving record OSHA 10 (preferred) Class 5 Boiler license (a plus) CDL (a plus)
