Job Description

Bob's Heating & Air Conditioning is hiring for the position of an Entry Level Install Assistant.
You are:
A highly motivated, dependable, results-driven, problem solving individual with great attention to detail. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain relationships with customers and team members. Training with an experienced Installer will give you the opportunity to develop your personal and professional skills, while working towards a career that you enjoy. Your job will be to work as part of the team to install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential homes. Six (6) paid holidays Company provided uniforms/tools/electronics for applicable positions Installer Assistant tasks will include: Load and unload HVAC equipment, parts, tools and other raw materials into company vehicle. Measure and cut Sheet metal for fabrication of ductwork. Holes in house for system routing Install nail plates where needed. Braze water copper and refrigerant copper. Wire electric thermostats Assemble PVC venting and plumbing. Read plans for house. Clean and maintain work area, equipment, and company vehicle. Complete daily logs and timecards Inventory ordering and control. Order parts through inventory sheets via fax machine. Help control inventory by not wasting product Responsible for quality control. No damaged product installed. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) Keep customer's home clean and free of damage. Educate customers about products and create add-on sales opportunities where applicable. All other duties as assigned Our Installer Assistant must have the following qualifications: Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience No previous experience as installer required. Current product knowledge Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and dexterity Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required Team oriented Motivated self-starter Effective communication skills Excellent attention to detail
Requirements:
Ability to pass background check Pre-hire drug screening Valid driver's license and good driving record Reliable transportation Ability to perform in office and field environments, moderate to loud noise level, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. This is a full-time position with variable hours. Flexibility to work extended hours and work weekends when required.
